Chelsea have added former Manchester City central defender John Stones to their summer transfer shortlist as they look to reinforce their back line.
The 32-year-old England international became a free agent at the start of July following the expiration of his contract at the Etihad Stadium.
Chelsea are actively seeking to sign up to two senior centre-backs before the summer window closes and they view Stones as an attractive, highly-experienced option.
The Blues are also in negotiations with Italian side Como regarding teenage defender Jacobo Ramon, while holding separate discussions with Crystal Palace over French centre-back Maxence Lacroix.
