Chelsea’s greatest ever player, Gianfranco Zola is reportedly considering retiring at the end of the season.
In case you didn’t quite catch that I will say it again…..
Chelsea’s greatest ever player, Gianfranco Zola is reportedly considering retiring at the end of the season.
The Italian genius is apparently considering such a move as he wishes to finish his football at the top of his game.
Zola, whose contract is due to expire at the end of this season, is still so wanted by the club who love him SO much. Chelsea have been clear in their intentions to extend his current but is believed that the LEGEND, THE GOD, THE WIZARD, may in fact quit due to his inspirational form displayed thus far this season.
Can this really be so?
It is understood by Chelsea Mad that a number of players are currently discussing their contracts with the club and of course, I’m sure that Franco is one of them. However, doubts do remain over Franco himself, who’s dignity and self respect are of the up most importance to him. Franco is a very proud man!
To finish on such a high though, in the year that he was voted Chelsea’s greatest EVER player, and of course to finish in the year in which he may again be voted the Player of the Year….it might just prove to tempting for him….
