Zenden picked up a knock against Viking in the Uefa Cup debacle and then aggravated it in training.

The Dutchman would make an appearance for his country in November against Germany, only to limp off with a recurrence of his ankle injury.

"I had a bit of a setback with my injury but I am already running again. I always want to be on the pitch and I am not happy for the fact that I am out for another one or two weeks.

"I've been a bit unlucky with injuries but the season is still young."
