Who is going to start this season?

With Damian Duff all set to move across London to ply his considerable skillls at Spurs next season, Chelsea have shown their hand in how they will set themselves up this season.
It appears that the Blues will be looking to play in a 442 formation.
This is obviously good news for Droga and Shevy, and also for Lamps and Ballack.
But it serves notice that the wide men in the squad cannot expect to be regulars from the off.
Chelsea struggled last season with their one-striker option and the World Cup demonstrated how this formation can be shackled.
Chelsea won the title with a bit to spare but that was because we had by far the best set of players while some of our rivals were in transistion periods.
Jose has clearly recognised that he needs to be ahead of the game this season.
Manchester United and Arsenal should be better this season and Chelsea have to be prepared for that.
Lesser teams would find the Blues system easier to cope with and there would almost certainly be more draws in the league as a result.
But by adopting a Drogba, Shevy attack force, Chelsea will once again be the most potent attacking force.
Ballack will be able to deliver high-quality long and short balls to the strikers.
With Lamps in tandem, the frontmen should not be in a position to complain about the lack of service - something Crespo and Drogs suffered from.
Joe Cole, and Robben will be battling it out pre-season to command the regular wide berth and don't be surprised if Arjen spits his dummy out around September time.
Cole will have to up his game if he is to oust Robben - all good news for Jose.
At the back a fit Cech is essential.
His shoulder problems should be a thing of the past, but it will take a while to get into the groove.
Will it be Zambrotta or Ashley Cole at left-back?
Either will do and adios to Asier - thanks for everything.
JT will almost certainly be named England skipper within weeks and he should find out soon if Gallas or Carvalho will be standing beside him in central defence.

I'd like to see Paulo get another decent run-out in the side. A good pre-season should establish himself in that right-back position.
Maka? Well, just keep on doing what you are doing.
Roll on Celtic and Liverpool and watch out Manchester City
