We will win through against Valencia

I had a feeling we would not win last night.
However I am confident we will get through the tie.
I have no idea what the result will be in Valencia, suffice to say, I'm confident, provided they are playing and fit, Drogs and Sheva will come good.
Kalou looked as if he could become a Drogs of the future - the boy just needs to add some muscle to his frame to become the complete striker.
Lamps was a major disappointment for me. I don't know if he has a hangover from the England debacle or wether the cast on his arm is causing a discomfort, but he was poor. The number of times he passed square or back to Riccy or JT - I lost count.
Sheva had a good shout for a penalty early on, but did not impress overall. Drogs was at his bruising best and his goal was top quality.
Cashly was excellent and Diarra a revelation - that cross in the first minuite of the second half was world -class.
Obi gave some interesting options and Ballack looked more at home on the European stage than at Premiership level.
The subs failed to alter the course of the game. SWP lacks confidence while Joe Cole was never really going to be the impact player of old just back from injury.
Have I missed anyone - ah yes, Petr - class as always.
Riccy and JT were commanding and will need to be again in the return leg.
I think we will sneak it. It will be Jose's "up yours" finger to Roman and all.

I half expect him to come out and say - "Give me my £20m compensation, and I'll walk out of Stamford Bridge tomorrow".
Somehow I suspect Peter Kenyon will be trying to get the sum down to as little as possible.
But while the boys are winning, Jose will always have the upper hand in any compo talks.
It's the long goodbye to Jose,
Actually, it's just a couple of weeks ...
