The English Press...

At work today, glancing through the various tabloid trash, it came to my attention that the 5UN and the M!RROR are basically the same paper. They print the same old rubbish, day in day out.

Chelsea, in my opinion, had an outstanding game yesterday. Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink scored a stunning winner, proving his critics wrong! Juan Seba Veron opened the scoring, likewise proving his critics wrong.

But what do the two red top newspapers focus on? Roman Abramovich. Yes, he bankrolled us. Yes, without him we'd probably be up shit creek by now. Yes, he is a Russian billionairre. But no, we don't want to hear about his every movement.

We are a football club. We are not a Russian billionairre. I want to read about Jimmy's views on a game that he won (we all know how much he'd love to talk about it!). I want to hear how Carlo Cudcini reckons the linesman is an incompetent f**k for sparing Michael Owen's blusheds. On that subject, how the hell can a linesman not tell, from two yards away, the difference between Veron's blue sock and Kewell's red sock and then spot Carlo slightly off his line fifty yards away?

But what I do not want to read about is how Roman Abramovich celebrated the Chelsea goals. Or what he thinks about the performance because, quite frankly, he knows f**k all about football.

Give the team top billing on a day when they proved their doubters wrong- not the man who paid for them, though. Less Roman, more Chelsea in future please...
