Sully Joins Leeds

Sullivan joined from Spurs in August last year, following Jurgen Macho's career threatening knee injury. But he didn't get too many chances to impress, and when he got his biggest chances, against Arsenal in February, he blew it.

Leeds boss Kevin Blackwell said: "I need that experience in my squad and it was also important to sign somebody who I felt would help develop Scott Carson because he is our future. I've been impressed by Neil's fitness and his attitude.

"It's been two years of total frustration for the lad. I don't think he expected Carlo Cudicini to hit the heights in quite the way that he did. My goalkeeping coach Martin Hodge has worked with him and was very happy. He'll be a good signing."

Forgive me if I am wrong Mr Blackwell, but wasn't Sully only with us for a season? And in that season, Carlo missed more games than he did in the previous two- he certainly knows how to hit the heights!

No offence to Marco Ambrosio, but he isn't exactly a great keeper, and he managed to keep Sully out of the side during Carlo's absence. That says it all! So thanks for your effort Sully but, ultimately, you just weren't quite good enough...
