Sheva good enough for Ukraine but not Blues

Andriy Shevchenko has arrived in his native Ukraine to join his national team for their all important Euro 2008 qualifiers vs. Georgia on Saturday 8 and Italy on Wednesday week.
Nothing wrong with that of course, except Sheva is somehow not considered fit enough to even make the bench for Chelsea - what's going on?
Goal-shy Chelsea failed to score or create many chances in the 2-0 defeat away to Aston Villa and they were knocked off the top of the Premier League by Liverpool who hammered Derby 6-0.
Yet here, their record-signing £30m man is twiddling his thumbs and putting his feet up.
It just doesn't make sense.

Either Sheva is fit or he is not. If he's not, then what the hell is he doing making his injury worse by playing for Ukraine.
If he's fit, then why is he not on the pitch for the Blues.
Only Jose Mourinho, Sheva and of course Roman Abramovich know what's going on.
These are tense times for Jose - while the boys are winning games, no problem, but the defeat against Villa puts a question mark over Jose's ability to bring the Premier League title back to the Bridge.
