Samuel Chelsea Bound?

Samuel, who has been in fine form this season for second placed Roma, said "I would never go to play for Milan, Inter or Juve, out of respect for the Roma fans.

"I have nothing against those clubs, but playing for them does not interest me; I am far more attracted by the idea of playing in England.

"But we will see about all this further down the road. What I would like to say is that I have never asked to be sold.''

With Marcel Desailly approaching the end of his career, and Robert Huth perhaps not ready for the big time, Samuel is an attractive proposition for Chelsea. A lot will surely depend on how Roma finish the season...
