Romelu Lukaku will return to Serie A before he finishes his playing career, according to his agent.
The Belgium striker spent two seasons in Italy with Inter, developing his game at a rapid pace and helping the Nerazzurri break Juventus' stranglehold on the title by winning their first scudetto since 2010 in 2020/21.
He ended his time with Inter in the summer when Chelsea brought him back to Stamford Bridge as they target a first Premier League title since 2016/17.
However, while the 28-year-old is enjoying his return to the Blues, agent Federico Pastorello claims the Italian public hasn't seen the last of Lukaku in their top flight.
He told Tuttosport: “Now let's allow Chelsea to enjoy him but we will see him again in Serie A because he is in love with our country."
Having made his name with Everton before a disappointing spell with Manchester United, Lukaku joined Inter for €80m and impressed, scoring 47 Serie A goals across two season.
A few disappointing results over the past month or so have seen Chelsea knocked off first place in the Premier League, with Thomas Tuchel's side now two points behind current leaders Manchester City and another behind Liverpool.
Lukaku himself has had an indifferent start to the 2021/22 season, managing only three goals in 11 Premier League appearances so far. He's had injury issues over the past month or so but scored his first club goal since September in the 3-3 Champions League draw with Zenit Saint Petersburg on Wednesday.
Chelsea edged a thriller with Leeds on Saturday, with Jorginho scoring two penalties alongside Mason Mount's strike to earn the Blues a 3-2 victory at Stamford Bridge despite efforts from Raphinha and Joe Gelhardt for the visitors.
