Rocastle Remembered - Now we're cooking!

Last updated : 24 October 2003 By Rich Godden
The David Rocastle Remembered team is really turning up the heat now! Our record for processing time contributed to the grid.org cancer research project in one day, set just six days ago at 125 days has been comprehensively smashed already! On the 32rd of October we turned in a whopping 130 days, 7 hours, 59 minutes and 23 seconds of processing. That was the third time in the space of a week that we contributed more than 120 days CPU in a day - something we have previously managed only once. The time we contributed was a good top fifty finish in the team league for the day.

But not only did we break our CPU time record, we also broke our points record (points are a measure of how much work we put in) and our results record. We generated 43,395 points and 237 results (both just outside the top 50 for the day).

Membership has now climbed to 383 current members - and in the past week they've helped us to contribute over two years of processing, averaging over 100 days/day and falling below 100 days only once.

So once again, congratulations to all team members, keep up the good work!
