Reece James Reveals Chelsea Are Targeting Premier League Title This Season

Chelsea defender Reece James says he believes the Blues have 'every chance' of winning the Premier League title this season.

Frank Lampard's side have made an encouraging start to the season, losing just one of their opening ten games, although that has included four draws. They currently sit third in the table, just two points adrift of leaders Tottenham, who held Chelsea 0-0 in their most recent Premier League fixture.

The game was billed by many as an early test of both sides' title credentials and after the contest James' confirmed the Blues are indeed targeting top spot.

"At the end of the day the aim of the team is to win the league and I think we’ve got every chance. That’s the goal but we have to keep working and keep pushing and getting better as a team," he told the club's official website.

James has been a key part of the Blues' new-look back four that have kept five clean sheets in the league so far. As well as impressing defensively, the 20-year-old has also offered his side a threat going forward, racking up three direct goal involvements in all competitions.
