Petit to see out Blues contract

French international Petit still has two more years to run on his current deal and he insisted that the 1-0 defeat to Liverpool has not altered his commitment to the Blues. Petit said, "We all want to play in the Champions League next season and we will do everything we can to reach that goal. As far as my future is concerned, I have another two years on my contract with Chelsea and I intend to do them. I am happy there. I do not know what will happen afterwards but the only thing I am sure of is that I will not return to the Primera Liga."

Petit spent just a season at Barcelona but struggled to claim a first team place and moved to Chelsea last summer. His Chelsea career has been blighted with injuries so far but he has recently had a good run in the team and looks to have reached his best form in time for the World Cup.
