Old Boys Move On

Jimmy has signed on the dotted line at Middlesbrough, penning a two year deal. Of his exit from Chelsea, Jimmy had this to say: "What happened at Chelsea is in the past. We don't need to talk about that.

"Chelsea is a very special club for me and I've got many friends there. I left on good terms and I wish them the best. It was for me time to go, but I hope they will wish me the best as well, and I think so.

"When I play for Middlesbrough, I hope we go and beat them. The only thing I can say is that I hope they do well, only not against Middlesbrough. I'm just happy and delighted to get this opportunity, happy to come and play for Middlesbrough and happy just to be one of the boys who are going to try to beat every opponent."

Meanwhile, Mario Melchiot has become a Birmingham City player. Brum manager Steve Bruce revealed "I'm delighted that Mario has agreed to join us because he is a player that I have admired for a long time and have been keen to make him a part of our squad.

"He is a quality player with international pedigree and I'm sure he'll be a big success at St Andrews."

Chelsea Mad would like to wish both players every success at their new clubs- apart from against us, of course!
