Roman has completely changed Chelsea's perspective on the transfer market. The signing of Adrian Mutu will take our summer spending to, wait for it... £75 million. Wasn't that how much our debts were a month or so ago??

But he's not done for the summer- Roman is considering signing more players. Here's what he said "Initially we wanted to get at least seven (new) players by August 31.

"But again nothing is written in stone. Everything could change. But it's fair to say that we could get at least one more quality player to the roster by the end of the month.

"Every comment on this could result in an increase in prices."

And his commitment to Chelsea is a long term one: "It's very long term. It's hard to talk about 10 years. Maybe 20 years, 50 years."

And he has no doubts that Claudio Ranieri is the main man... "Ranieri will stay. He speaks simple English, so it's easy for us to converse."

Nice to know they've got something in common...
