Speaking alongside Claudio Ranieri at the pre-match press conference, JT said: "This is a big test of character for all the players and we will see just how many of us want to win. It is totally in our hands, it is important we keep a clean sheet, and then hopefully the boys up front and in midfield will get the goals for us.

"The first leg is out of our system and we are all looking forward to it. A lot of us won't get another chance to play in such a big game so we are going to give it everything. We have got the fans behind us at home and we will hope things go our way.''

Asked whether or not he will hold back due to being just a booking away from a European suspension, JT said: "It is not on my mind and if a tackle is there to be made I will make it. It would be a massive disappointment if we went through and I missed the final, but my thoughts will be on this game only.''

And what of the first leg? Does he blame Ranieri?

"We hold our hands up because it is our fault too,'' said Terry. "The manager can make decisions and can pick the team but once we are on the pitch it is totally in the players' hands and we are half to blame for it.

"This is a chance to prove to the manager it was our fault as well and it is a chance to fight and prove to everyone just how much we want this."
