Lamps denies Adebayor punch

Frank Lampard has rubbished claims that he was punched by Arsenal striker Emmanuel Adebayor.
Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger claims that the linesman in their Sunday Carling Cup defeat to the Blues said Adebayor was sent off for punching our Frank.
Wenger then went on to call the official a liar.
Frank naturally said that the player didn't strike him - because he didn't.
But poor old Arsene - he must be losing it because in the official report on the game, the linesman says that Adebayor aimed a punch at Lamps - not that he actually landed with it.
I'm sure Frank would have joined JT in hospital had the punch landed.

Now Wenger is going to be hauled up to the FA again- do they have a special chair for him, he's there far too often ?

Chelsea meanwhile get back to the real business of preparing for Saturday's match against Portsmouth at Fratton Park.
JT had a scan yesterday, and if the propaganda machine that is Chelsea's communications department can be believed, it was just a routine scan and nothing to worry about.
So it's off to the south coast for a spot of sun, checking out the boats and coming back the A3 with three points.
