JT Focused On Champions League

Since gracing Europe's premier club competition under Luca Vialli in 1999/2000, the Blues have yet to return, despite such an impressive showing that year. Since Ranieri's appointment in September 2000, our European record is laughable.

Defeats against St Gallen, Hapoel Tel Aviv and then Viking are a far cry from the days of victories against Barcelona, Galatasaray, Feyenoord and Marseille. JT, who was just a junior coming through the ranks back then, wants to experience this for himself now- and feels that a good run is needed to secure the final Champions League berth.

Speaking to the the Official Chelsea site, JT said "It's massively important to the club financially, but for the players as well, we all want Champions League football next year.

"We need to get a five or six-game winning run together now."

With Chelsea slipping down to 5th at the weekend, we must win our next few games at the very least...
