Jose Mourinho was sanctioned in his wallet by the FA today.
The FA confirmed: "At a Disciplinary Commission hearing today, Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho was fined £5000 and warned to his future conduct.
Mourinho was charged with improper conduct in relation to comments made in an interview following Chelsea's Carling Cup match against Manchester United on 12 January 2005.
Rumours that Jose paid the fine by dipping into his "Matalan" coat pocket and fishing out a wodge of spare tenners is pure speculation, and Chelsea-mad can neither confirm or deny any such action.
