Jimmy shortlisted for PFA award

Liverpool's Sami Hyypia is a shock absentee considering how strong he has been in their excellent season but it would be hard to argue with the list named by the PFA today:

Robert Pires (Arsenal)
Thierry Henry (Arsenal)
David Beckham (Man Utd)
Roy Keane (Man Utd)
Ruud van Nistelrooy (Man Utd)
JIMMY FLOYD HASSELBAINK (CHELSEA)

Also in line for a PFA award is John Terry, who is hoping to succeed Steven Gerrard as PFA young player of the year award. The list in full:

Craig Bellamy (Newcastle United)
Steven Gerrard (Liverpool)
Ledley King (Spurs)
Michael Ricketts (Bolton)
JOHN TERRY (CHELSEA)
Darius Vassell (Aston Villa)

Also worth noting is the fact that Chelsea are the only side to have a player in both lists. Unfortunately, Robert Pires looks set to be named Player of the year whilst Darius Vassell is favourite for the Young player award.
