Huth Bid Turned Down

Huth wasn't even on the bench for the Liverpool match but is obviously in Claudio Ranieri's plans this season. He faces the stiffest of competition if he is to break into the side though, with Marcel Desailly, John Terry and William Gallas all ahead of him in the pecking order.

Reading manager Alan Pardew said "Robert was the one I was after, but Chelsea have said no so as far as I am concerned that's it and I will have to move on to the next target."

Chelsea have not commented on the subject so far. They're obviously too busy working on other things...
