Houll's Talking Out Of Their Arse?

Listen to what Gerard said after yesterday's game:

"I feel sorry for the players, they put in a lot of effort and Chelsea only had two chances in that first half and scored one. We had half a dozen and couldn't score, that's a little problem for us.

"I felt Chelsea were lucky at times, and I gambled with Milan Baros and Steve Finnan going on as well as Diouf to try to change things.

"People still keep telling me that we are negative but we had all our forwards on and had 19 shots so I don't call that negative. Maybe our finishing is a problem? But Chelsea had a bit of luck at times."

19 shots? Where did that come from- I counted 10, if you're lucky. And that included Mickey Owen's missed penalty.

And he feels sorry for his players? Are those the same players that couldn't hit the back side of a cow's arse with a banjo? And Chelsea were lucky?

From where I was sitting, Bridge was maybe dealt with a bit harshly for the penalty decision (probably not though!) but there should never have been a throw in for Liverpool to lead to the penalty. Seba's great challenge knocked the ball out of play off of Kewell. And, as if that wasn't enough, the linesman stabbed us in the back by letting Michael Owen take the penalty again after he missed the first one.

What for? Because Carlo was off his line. Yes, it is a rule. But, honestly, how many times can you see it being used? I saw worse in the Premiership yesterday. There were a lot of penalties and, quite frankly, the decision was a joke.

So, in conclusion Gerard, I think you and your players got exactly what you deserved- nothing!
