High Praise

Desailly, a goal scorer against Sunderland, is looking good this year alongside William Gallas and the defence has been one of our strengths.

And Desailly has revealed his thoughts on the new Chelsea, "We could have lost these type of games against Bolton and Sunderland last season, but we have shown this year that Chelsea can manage to stay in the top three.

"Every week, we try to play to win - not the league necessarily but just each game and we try to make the crowd pleased.

"We are now going to have a heavy winter with many games but I hope this run continues and that, in January, Chelsea will still be in the top three.''

If we keep playing like this then we will certainly be there or there abouts in January...

Desailly has also spoken about his France teammate William Gallas "My partnership with William has been very interesting. He's very consistent in his performances, that's what I have asked of him, and I hope he will keep this level up.

"We were joking recently that he has started with the France team roughly at the same age as I did. Now he could spend up to 10 years at this level. If he is still there in 2006 then that would be superb.''

Meanwhile, after Saturday's game, Flo summed up Chelsea's chances when he said "Chelsea look strong at the moment and more consistent so it looks good for them.''

I bet he wishes he never left us...
