Hiddink starts job with clean slate

Guus got up early today to give his first press conference as a Blue.
The eight-ish start was far too early for many hacks but those there saw a composed man ready for the mighty challenge ahead.
He starts his managerial role at Chelsea with a clean slate and has the chance to exorcise the ghost of Jose Mourinho once and for all.
Hiddink must not fail.
The Chelsea fans who have been put through the emotional wringer for the past 18 months, cannot tolerate much more.
But Guus said all the right things and will be given a few games to stamp his imprint onto the squad.
But victories are what is required and a must-win situation smacks him right in the face for his first game.
Chelsea can leapfrog Aston Villa with a victory early tomorrow afternoon at Villa Park.
Then it will be an assault on second-place Liverpool before attempting the near-impossible of overhauling leaders Manchester United.
But I suspect Hiddink is looking to the Champions League and to a lesser extent the FA Cup as the major targets in the coming months.
As he said, it will be tough to win the league but Chelsea are very much in with a good shout for the other two.
Good Luck Guus.

Chelsea will welcome back John Terry from suspension while losing Ashley Cole to one.
Will Didier Drogba and Nicolas Anelka start up front together?
A successful Chelsea needs Drogba to be firing on all cylinders. Without him, Chelsea will labour to get close to winning anything.
