Gronkjaer making a steady recovery

Jesper Gronkjaer made a second half performance for the reserves in midweek, his first since September, following a serious knee injury. But Gronkjaer is the first to admit that he needs more matches to regain his sharpness. He also claims that he has not suffered any pain in the knee for a month now, offering a huge boost for the Blues in their bid to gain Champions League qualification. It will also offer some relief for Claudio Ranieri as he has also been without Boudewijn Zenden, who also plays on the left wing.

Gronkjaer's stay at Chelsea has been blighted by injury and Blues fans have only seen glimpses of his talent. He will be hoping for a good run in the team to boost his chances of being named in the Denmark World Cup squad. Expect to see him back in action within the next fortnight.
