Gallas Update

Firstly, Claudio Ranieri has revealed that William Gallas was not dropped for the Bolton game- merely rested. Claudio said "He has played all the games and now and then I must preserve my defenders.

"It was his turn to rest this week but next week it will probably be somebody else."

And Gallas himself has revealed that he doesn't really mind where he plays in the Chelsea team, finding positives from playing at full back.

Gallas said "I simply enjoy playing with this team and I don't ask myself too many questions. When I play left back like against Sunderland last week, it gives me more opportunities to join the attack and that's always fun.

"I must not forget about my defensive role but it's true I like to move forward when I have a chance."

Four goals this season from defence is not bad going- after all, it's nearly as many as Emile Heskey gets in a season!
