Forssell Update

Mikael is on loan to the Midlands club until the end of the season and they have made no secret of their desire to sign him.

Savage said "I think it's vital that we keep him. He's what we need.

"Mikael is a natural goalscorer and if we can keep him, then it would be a great signing."

But Steve Bruce fears that Mikael's good form means he is more likely to go back to Chelsea, saying "It's a double-edged sword and we know that is the case.

"It's not going to change. We're thankful we have got him on loan and I hope that we can make it permanent. But we'll have to see what happens."

In the past, Birmingham have mentioned a figure of around £5 million for the Finnish hitman. If they're really interested, they can double that for starters! Let us not forget that Louis Saha cost Man Yoo around £12 million!
