Fantasy Premier League: The Dream Team From Gameweek 25

Another Premier League weekend, another few days of utter frustration for Fantasy Premier League players. Oh, just me then? I forget that some people are actually good at the game.

With the Premier League providing another exhilarating set of fixtures and stunning results, have any of them given you the timely boost you need in your quest for fantasy Footballing perfection?

Did Spurs new boy Steven Bergwijn's debut goal provide joy for anyone brave enough to bring him in already? Did Vicente Guaita's howler ruin a perfectly good clean sheet? And who triple captained Robert Snodgr...never mind.

Regardless of the week you had, look no further if you want to see the top performing players of gameweek 25. Here goes.

Goalkeeper

Hugo Lloris

Hugo Lloris (15pts) - Jose Mourinho will be delighted to have his captain back, and his performance against Manchester City proved why. A clean sheet, a penalty save, five saves AND the three bonus points gave Lloris a whopping 15 points. We know the Frenchman can throw in a howler every now and again, but a performance like this shows just what he is capable of.

Defenders

FBL-ENG-PR-LEICESTER-CHELSEA

Antonio Rudiger (16pts) - It's not often that a defender scores a brace, but this weekend we had – wait for it – a brace of them. Chelsea's Rudiger was the first. Despite getting one point knocked off his total for conceding twice, his two goals more than made up for it. Three bonus points was the cherry on top of a good day for the German in the fantasy world.

Yerry Mina (15pts) - Mina was the second man in defence to bag a brace. 2-0 down away at Watford, the big Colombian poked home from a corner before heading into the back of the net to give him an almost identical tally to Rudiger. However, a yellow card meant he finished on 15 points - still a hefty total.

Federico Fernández (9pts) - A pretty simple day in the office for the Newcastle man. A clean sheet alongside three bonus points for a solid defensive display gave him nine points.

Nathan Ake (9pts) - Ake racked up the same number of points as Fernández, but in very different fashion. The Dutchman bagged the second goal for Bournemouth just before half time, but was unable to keep a clean sheet after Aston Villa scored with 20 minutes to go. Bonus point though. Nice.

Midfielders

Robert Snodgrass

Robert Snodgrass (18pts) - A hugely prolific week for the West Ham man meant that he was the highest scoring performer in fantasy for gameweek 25. In a hugely entertaining 3-3 draw against Brighton, Snodgrass managed to score twice while also picking up an assist. As a result, he got three bonus points. Big week.

Mohamed Salah (16pts) - Salah is in tremendous form of late, and there is no doubt that the Egyptian loves cashing in against the weaker teams. Salah bagged twice against Southampton, while also picking up three bonus points and an extra one point for keeping a clean sheet. Yeah, because the nice people at FPL still think he's a midfielder. Weird.

Jordan Henderson (13pts) - Another Liverpool man in tremendous form (which Reds player isn't?), Henderson finds himself in the dream team with 13 points. A goal and assist for the Englishman meant he came behind Salah and received two bonus points, plus the clean sheet point.

Philip Billing (10pts) - The second Cherries man in the side, Billing put in an imperious midfield performance. A goal for the midfielder was the perfect reward for the way he played, while he also picked up three bonus points. Bournemouth will want to see this every week from the midfielder.

Mason Mount (10pts) - Mount was actually pretty poor against Leicester, but in regards to fantasy, who cares? The attacking midfielder was the man who put in the two corners for Rudiger's goals, meaning he picked up an easy six points for two assists. Add on the two bonus points he got, it was a good day for Mount.

Forwards

Roberto Firminho

Roberto Firmino (11pts) - The Brazilian is the only forward in this week's side, and rightly so. Firmino continues to be a pivotal cog in the Liverpool team, bringing out the best in everyone around him. This was made clear against Southampton as he picked up a hat-trick of assists. Unfortunately for him though, he failed to receive any bonus points. However, 11 points is still a brilliant total for the Liverpool man.
