FA Cup Final News: Part 2

The only selection headache for Claudio Ranieri ahead of tomorrows match appears to be on the left hand side of the pitch. With both Celestine Babayaro and Graeme Le Saux back in full training, it seems likely that at least one of them will take part from the start of the match. This is the Starting XI that I think Claudio Ranieri will use:

Cudicini, Melchiot, Terry, Desailly, Gallas, Gronkjaer, Petit, Lampard, Le Saux, Hasselbaink, Gudjohnsen.

Eidur Gudjohnsen looks set to shrug off an ankle injury in time for the match and he told TeamTalk "It's what you dream of in football and it is what the game is about and I think you have to forget about the people around you, the atmosphere and just concentrate on your game."
The Iceman is taking part in his first FA Cup final but came close to achieving that feat with Bolton in 2000, losing to Villa on penalties in the semi final. Had he got through that match who would he have been up against in the final- you guessed it, Chelsea!

Despite the importance of the FA Cup final to everyone at the club, Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink claims that it is no consolation for missing out on a Champions League place. The Dutchman claims that you cannot compare a Champions League spot to the FA Cup and that it was a blow that the club didn't achieve their goal for the season. Despite his negative comments, Jimmy claims that he is "excited" to be part of the showpiece final- lets hope that his enthusiasm can be translated into a few goals tomorrow...

Check back tomorrow as we bring you up-to-date news as it comes in on Chelsea's biggest game of the season...
