Eden: My turn to help the youngsters

Last updated : 11 June 2015 By Paul Lagan

Eden Hazard knows what it's like to be a young buck coming up though the ranks, challenging the established first team stars.

Those players took him under their wing and nurtured the player who has gone on to become one of the world's finest.

Hazard is aware that he now has to take that same responsibility, to look after the club's young up and comers.

"When I was young and I started to train with the first team it was a good feeling," he told chelsea.com.

"Now I have to try to help the younger players, even though I’m still only young myself, I’m just 24. I don’t know if they see me as a big brother, but it’s good if I can help when they ask for advice.

"Of course they feel a bit scared because it’s not easy as a youngster playing with big players, I was the same, but on the pitch is where it matters. If they are good on the pitch it’s easy for them to settle in."
