Desailly Hits Out At Djorkaeff

Baba alledgedly elbowed Djorkaeff when Chelsea took on Bolton last week at the Reebok Stadium. The referee gave the little Nigerian a straight red card... and Chelsea's appeal against the decision was unsuccessful, prompting Desailly to point the finger at Djorkaeff.

The two are French international teammates and appear to be good friends, yet Desailly was so infuriated by Djorkaeff that he has publicly slated him, saying "I feel sorry for 'Baba' over his sending off because he is a friend and he's the most non-violent guy.

"[Youri] Djorkaeff has been over-exaggerating the action and that gives me pain. Now I just want to comfort him and say he doesn't have to worry - the red card was not justified."

That doesn't stop Baba missing three games through suspension though...
