Dalla Bona On The Move

Last updated : 15 August 2003 By Rich Godden
After making just eight appearances for Milan (five of which came as a sub) Sam has decided to improve his chances of playing first team football by joining Bologna.

Bologna are by no means a bad side, they seem to do okay in Serie A, but they are certainly not a Chelsea or a Milan.

It seems that Sam has taken a step back from his days at Stamford Bridge. Such a shame, as Claudio Ranieri could have made him a great midfielder. With Chelsea, he was on course for the Italian national squad. He was rated as one of the brightest young prospects in the Premiership.

Where did it all go wrong? Oh yeah, when he decided to be greedy and demand an unrealistic salary. Arriverderci Sam, enjoy life in Bologna. Who knows, we may just pass you on the way to one of our big Champions League games next year...
