Dalla Bona On His Way To Milan

Last updated : 08 July 2002 By -

The 21 year old Italian midfielder has signed a five year deal which will keep him at the San Siro until June 2007. Dalla Bona joined Chelsea in 1998 from the Atalanta youth set-up, and at just 17 years of age made a big move for someone still so young. Sam was quick to impress though and in just his first season in the reserves, scored 16 goals with some classy displays of attacking midfield play.

Sam continued his energetic midfield displays into the first team and showed the type of character and determination occasionally missing from other players at the blues. However, it seems that Chelsea and Sam were not meant to be. With supposed conflicts and differences of opinion with the management and Sam seeming to want a move home, Sam’s future at Chelsea has been in doubt for a while now.

There is no doubt that Sam is a great talent and I’m sure he will be missed by many of us. As I said before, " I, for one, will be sad to see Sam leave".

Good luck mate.
