Crespo Linked

Crespo has a great scoring record in Serie A, a league considered to be the hardest to score goals in. He joined Inter last summer for around £17 million and started to repay the fee by scoring for fun in the Champions LEague. But injury struck and his season went off the boil.

However, there is no doubt that he is a quality player. And, for the same money being touted for Vieri, he would offer much better value for money. Not only is Crespo, in my opinion, a better striker than Vieri but he is also younger.

And any player who replaces Gabriel Batistuta in the Argentina national side has got to be pretty special.

But Crespo has revealed that he is no rush to complete any transfer away from Inter. He said "I've just returned from holiday and am very relaxed about my future, although I have read the rumours I'm wanted by Chelsea and Barcelona.

"I've heard nothing officially yet and won't make any decision about my future until I'm advised by my agent Fernando Hidalgo.''

Fernando Hidalgo- isn't that the same agent as Seba Veron??
