Chelsea have pledged to continue their policy of promoting youth-team stars to the first XI.
Teenagers Carlton Cole and Robert Huth have impressed in Claudio Ranieri's side and chief executive Trevor Birch is adamant the selection of emerging young stars will continue.
Huth - Continues To Impress
"If you're good enough, you're old enough," he told Chelsea TV. "But realistically, you can't just expect youngsters to play 40 or 50 games a season.
"It will be a gradual emergence of the youngsters over the next two years. We have the nucleus of a great team, with young players coming through and filling me with great hope."
