Chelsea Superstar NGolo Kante Claims He Could Finish His Career at Stamford Bridge

Chelsea midfielder N'Golo Kante has hinted that he could remain at Stamford Bridge beyond his current contract and potentially even finish his playing career with the Blues.

The Frenchman joined Chelsea in the summer of 2016, winning the Premier League title in his first season and rapidly becoming a fan favourite. In November 2018, the club hierarchy then rewarded Kante's performances, agreeing an improved contract until 2023. However, the World Cup winner can see himself staying at Chelsea even beyond that.

Speaking with Telefoot, Kante revealed: "It is possible that I finish my career in Chelsea. I am under contract until 2023 so I hope to live beautiful things until 2023."

The midfield powerhouse's ambition is to win more titles at Stamford Bridge and he still sees plenty of challenges for him at the club.

He added: "Chelsea is not too small for me, I made three beautiful years here, this club helped me a lot and I hope to win many more titles here."

Alongside his Premier League winner's medal, Kante has lifted the 2017/18 FA Cup and 2018/19 Europa League trophies in his spell with the club.

Frank Lampard's side have made a fantastic start to the season, although Kante's involvement has been restricted by injury so far. However, his timely return against Crystal Palace meant that he replaced the suspended Jorginho in Chelsea's youngest-ever Premier League starting XI.

Chelsea have an abundance of central midfield options, meaning Kante will have to be at his very best to retain his place on the teamsheet. No stranger to hard work, that should be no problem for the Frenchman who can act as the perfect role model to their young prospects like Mason Mount and Billy Gilmour.
