Cech kick-off fear

Petr Cech is a doubt for the begining of the Premiership season.
The giant Czech goalkeeper underwent surgery on his shoulder following his country's exit from the World Cup.
A spokesman for Chelsea is playing down the serverity of the operation, but there must be a question mark about his standing between the sticks for the opening game of the season against Manchester City on August 19.
Before then Chelsea take on high-profile pre-season games against Celtic before the Community Shield match in Cardiff against Liverpool.
Chelsea are also embarking on a tour of the US.
Chelsea will have good cover in Carlo Cudicini and new signing Hilario. But it's the thought of starting the defence of their Premiership title without Cech that will worry Jose Mourinho and fans alike .
Chelsea said: "Petr Cech had a routine shoulder operation on Monday following the Czech Republic's exit from the World Cup.

"The operation was to clear up some minor problems outstanding from last season and he will be working with the Chelsea medical staff to be fit as soon as possible."

As soon as possible...hmmmm.
