Bridge Keen To Make Amends

Bridgey realises that, with Baba back from ACON duty, he cannot afford any more mistakes if he wants to remain a part of the first team.

He said "I want to play every game, so I just want to knuckle down and not make too many mistakes - like I did against Blackburn.

"We started off slowly - but then I thought we controlled the game but lacked the killer instinct to finish them off. We gave a bad goal away near the end but luckily Johnno stepped forward and showed a bit of class."

Bridge was also happy to be given a few days off over the last fortnight- a rarity in modern football: "We have had Monday and Thursday off this week, as well as Monday and Friday last week - very rare. Because we're playing so much, you can't have too many days off or you would lose fitness. You just get used to it, though."

Indeed!
