Blackburn Tempt Chelsea With Eidur Bid

Gudjohnsen, 23, has formed an inspired and respected partnership with Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink since joining the club two seasons ago from Bolton for £5m. But with Chelsea’ supposed financial concerns, the club may be tempted to part with the Icelandic star.

Souness has made it very clear that he wants to re-unite Dwight Yorke with Andy Cole, who joined Rovers last season, but is unhappy with United’s demands for a player of 30.

With this in mind, and Souness becoming increasingly frustrated at United’s £6m asking price, the Blackburn manager could well make a £9m move for Eidur, and with Chelsea financially troubled………they may well be willing to listen to offers?

Are we really going to lose Eidur or Jimmy in order to keep Chelsea Village PLC afloat? If the club is in as much trouble as reported should such players be sacrificed? Can we fill the void left by the departure of Eidur or Jimmy with the supposed potential stars coming through the youth and reserve teams? Can we really put our faith in the Chelsea Youth Policies?

Mind you, dont worry, it's all speculation. Isn't it?
