Borussia Dortmund are weighing up a move for Ajax goalkeeper Andre Onana as they look to find a suitable replacement for Roman Burki.
Onana's future has been a constant source of speculation over the past 12 months with a whole host of European clubs rumoured to be monitoring his performances.
Chelsea and Tottenham have both been credited with an interest in the 24-year-old shot-stopper, though respective bids from the Premier League pair have failed to materialise.
Last year the Cameroon international made no secret of his desire to move on from Ajax - with a move to Barcelona once looking likely - but with the coronavirus pandemic impacting the finances of football clubs around the world, Onana has been forced to remain in the Eredivisie.
However, with Onana's current deal set to expire in 18 months time, Ajax are keen to cooperate with any clubs looking to table a competitive bid, and they could well receive such an offer from Borussia Dortmund.
Der BVB's current number one Burki is reported by BILD to 'not meet the expectations' of the Bundesliga giants, and Onana is one of a number of names on a list of potential successors.
RB Leipzig's Peter Gulacsi and Benfica's Odisseas Vlachodimos are also of interest to the Dortmund transfer team, with the former's release clause of €15m making him likely to be the cheapest option of the three.
It remains to be seen just how much Ajax would demand for Onana, though - with his contract set to expire in summer 2022 - the figure is likely to be significantly less than the €40m-€50m they quoted interested parties little less than year ago.
Onana has been in fine form this campaign, with just 15 goals conceded in 20 league games helping Ajax establish a significant lead at the top of the Eredivisie.
