Ramires struck twice as theBlues got thereChampions League campaign back on track with a staisfying 4-0 win away to Steaua Bucharest.

The Brazil midfielder was on hand to poke the ball home after excellent set-up play by winger Andre Schurrle and striker Samuel Eto'o on 19 minutes.

Eto'o had replaced Fernando Torres who lasted just 11 minutes, suffering from a suspected knee injury.

Chelsea, who are now third in Group E, level on points with Basel, were professional rather than outstanding and it took a stroke of luck right before the break which saw the Londoners take a 2-0 thanks to an own-goal from Georgievski after goalkeeper Ciprian Tatarusanu made a hash of an Eto'o drive.

Ramires scored the third 10 minutes after the restart after an excellent move which involved Schurrle and Oscar.

Juan Mata and Oscar rattled the Romanians woodwork before Frank Lampard capped a fine display by scoring with a shot which crept in off the post.
