Chelsea blasted their way back to their first away win of the season with a 3-1 win at Carrow Road this afternoon.

A goal by Oscar on four minutes sent the Blues on their way.
But missed chances by Demba Ba meant they were prone to a counter-attack and that's what happened on 68 minutes when Anthony Pilkington nodded home an equaliser.
Goals from substitutes Eden Hazard and Willian restored the lead and three vital points we won.

Demba Ba got the nod from Jose Mourinho over Samuel Eto'o while Juan Mata retained his place in the side.

Ba had a penalty attempt turned down by referee Neil Swarbrick, but the away side's positive start was rewarded with a goal on four minutes when Frank Lampard passed the ball wide to Ba on the left. He passed the ball to in-running Oscar. The Brazil midfielder took one touch on the left apex of the Norwich area and struck a fine right-footer across the body of goalkeeper John Ruddy and into the distraught goalkeeper's left-hand cornered the net.

Norwich recovered well from the shock of losing an early goal, but could have gone behind on 14 minutes when an Incisive pass from Mata after a set-up ball by Lampard saw Ba escape his defensive markers.

The Cameroon striker struck a left-footer across Ruddy, similar to Oscar's, but this time the goalkeeper managed to tip the ball a round his left post for a corner.

Seb Bassong, Norwich's centre-half skipper, saved Ruddy's blushes on 19 minutes.
The goalkeeper fumbled a long ball at the edge of his area. Ba challenged the goalie and managed to clip a 180 degree ball towards goal. But Bassong was covering and intercepted the ball and cleared it to safety.

The him side'sfirst effort on goal came on 22 minutes when Ricky Van Wolfswinkel flashed a fierce right-footed byline cross towards Petr Cech goal.
Luckily for Chelsea Luiz was quick to the ball and haul it away from goal for a corner.

Ruddy made another hash of a deep ball by Luiz on 29 minutes, this time Bas could not clip the ball in form an acute angle as Ruddy recovered sufficiently to clip the ball away for a corner.

Whenever Norwich went forward they tested the Chelsea back four - occasionally getting through, but a lack of finishing prowess their downfall.

Once such occasion with three minutes until the break summed up their first half. Excellent one-two play play between Russell Martin and Robert Snodgrass on the right saw Snodgrass with a chance to control the ball and shoot. But instead elected to take a left-footed half volley from 12 yards which he skied t over Cech's crossbar.

Bassong had the last effort right on the whistle, but his speculative volley went straight into the gleeful palms of Cech - his first save of the game.

Ba could have had a hat-trick in this match and missed a good chance a minute I t the second-half.

Chelsea attacked on the left with Schurrle and Ramires. The Brazil midfielder sent in a byline cross which Ba glanced towards goal with his left foot. But the ball drifted wide of goal.

Norwich, quick on the count attack three minutes later almost got thought but Anthony Pilkington was brilliant tacked by Ramires as the striker was about to left fly from just inside the Chelsea penalty area.

Pilkington did slightly better four minutes later but his right-footer, from the edge of the Chelsea area, was scuffed and Cech watched, confident the ball was going wide.
He produced a wayward free-kick a minute later.

Norwich fans were clambering for a penalty as Pilkington went tumbling on 58 minute, but rightly the referee gave a goalkick after John Terry's interception, read by the fans as a foul, pushed the ball onto the striker's chest which bounced the ball across the byline.

A Terry last-ditch clearance indicated a prolonged period of Norwich pressure.
Mata received a yellow card on 61 minutes as Chelsea began to suffer from the onslaught.

Alex Tettey, perhaps goaded by the fans, let fly from 20 yards, but his effort on 65 minutes went straight into the Barclay Stand behind Cech's goal.

But while the lead was just 1-0, it was vulnerable and so it proved on 68 minutes when Martin Olsson produced an excellent cross from the right, the ball was headed across goal by Van Wolfswinkel and Pilkington got ahead of Luiz and nodded home from close range.

Lampard felt his free-kick, a minute later was handled in the penalty area by Martin, but the midfielder's appeal was dismissed by Swarbrick.

Norwich boss Chris Houghton brought on striker Gary Hooper for Van Wolfswinkel while Mourinho decided to introduce Eto'o for Ba - both with 18 minutes left on the clock.

Mourinho then replaced Ashley Cole who was holding his stomach as he went off - he was replaced by Eden Hazard.

Chelsea changed formation, going with three T the back a Hazard moved into a high left-sided position.

With extra firepower the Blues pushed forward to regain the lead and Ruddy did well to stop an Branislav Ivanovic shot, while a minute later on 79 minutes a turn and shot by Mata screwed wide of his goal.

Snodgrass's game ended with 10 minutes remaining, Nathan Redmond coming on. This was echoed with Mata being replaced by Willian.

Norwich's counter-attack's almost bore fruit immediately for Redmond as his first touch was a rasping shot which Cech could only parry away.

But straight form a Norwich corner with six minutes left, the Blues restored the lead with a scintillating break of their own. Willian found Oscar who produced a curving though ball. Bassong could only touch it onto Hazard whose low shot from 12 yards out looked like it was smothered by Ruddy, but the ball squirmed under his body and inched over the goaline.

The match was made safe for the visitors two minutes later when Willian popped up on the edge of the Norwich area, on the right, and arrowed the perfect left-footed curler high and wide over the hapless Ruddy.

The Blues move up to third in the Premier League.
