Chelsea 4 - Norwich City 0

The Blues were once again without leading scorer Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink, who is struggling with a hip injury, and started with Zola and Gudjohnsen up front.

At the back Desailly partnered Gallas in Terry's absence.

Chelsea dominated the early stages but they took the lead with a messy goal when Stanic jumped for Zola's corner and the ball rebounded off his head towards the goal.

Lampard went to knock it in, and while it appeared he did not get a touch his raised leg prevented Norwich keeper Green taking a simple catch and the ball bounced into the net and he claimed the goal.

Lampard definately did score the second twenty minutes after half-time. Stanic shot from 25 yards out, Green fumbled, and Lampard was there to tap the rebound home.

The third goal came courtesy of a piece of pure magic from Gianfranco Zola.

Zola met Le Saux's 62nd-minute corner at the near post after a diagonal run and steered the ball into the net with an elegant back flick through his own legs.

Mikael Forssell added a fourth with two minutes to go to book Chelsea's place in the next round where they will meet West Ham.
