Cruise Control

Do you guys realise how hard it is to get up at 3am to watch live matches. It's not bloody easy! OK thats my gripe.

There were a lot of positives from the West Brom game. The form of Jimmy I thought was quite good without any luck going his way. Lamps was again effective and really controlled the middle. Most impressive for me though was the defence, who never showed any signs of panic even during a prolonged spell of pressure from the Baggies.

Stanic proved my point about how effective he can be when he stops looking for free kicks and plays the game. And I was glad to see the dissapointed look on Eidur's face when he was subbed as it shows how hungry he is at the minute. Credit to him though for not acting petulantly as we have seen from other teams players when they don't agree with being subbed.

I'm not saying anthing about Franco, his right boot spoke for him.

My only concern is that when the Baggies lifted the tempo in about the 70th minute we didn't respond and lift ours. The lads seemed happy to just match them and no more. All well and good against a struggling club but if we do the same against a Liverpool or Everton we will pay dearly.

On to the Champions League...
