Player Ratings: Charlton (h)

Neil Sullivan- Didn't actually have a shot to save, but made a couple of crucial interventions. However, his positioning was poor on occasions and his footwork also left a lot to be desired. 6

Mario Melchiot- Decent enough performance from the big Dutchman. Kept Konchesky at bay for much of the match, although his control wasn't up to usual standards and it let down several attacks. 7

William Gallas- Great performance from Willy against two good strikers. Was caught out on a couple of occasions, but his pace bailed him out as usual. Roberth Huth also seemed a lot more confident alongside Gallas than he has done with his other partners this season. 8

Robert Huth- Very impressive display from the surprise starter. His tackling is thunderous (he's clearly been watching JT) and he looks very assured on the ball. Along with the Arsenal game earlier this season, this will rank as one of his best performances for Chelsea thus far. 8

Wayne Bridge- Another steady performance by Bridgey. Defended well as ever and got in some great crossing positions offensively. 7

Glen Johnson- Not a bad performance by Johnno, although his control let him down at times. Went on a couple of great runs although his end product was poor. 7

Alexis Nicolas- For those watching on TV, it may have looked as though Alexis was poor in the Charlton game. But for those of us who could see all of the off the ball stuff, Alexis was outstanding. Played the Claude Makelele role just a little higher up the pitch and really got in the faces of the Charlton players. Another impressive display from the youngster. 8

Frank Lampard- Apart from the odd quality pass, Lamps had one of his quieter games this season. It's testament to his ability though that, although he wasn't at the top of his game, it didn't affect the team's performance. 7

Jesper Gronkjaer- Best game of the domestic season for Jesper. Hit the bar early on and gave his marker a tough time for much of the game. Also (shock horror) sent in a couple of great crosses! But still prone to playing too many bad passes! 7

Adrian Mutu- How did he not score?? Great performance, just lacked a goal. And he should've had at least two, if not three, in the second half alone! 8

Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink- Not the best performance you'll see from Jimmy, but he got his goal so he'll be happy! Cleverly won the penalty after a tussle with Fish and fired it home to keep him at the top of the Chelsea scoring charts! 7
