Come On Spurs?

3 points for Chelsea on Saturday at the Riverside Stadium will take us top. No matter what!

You see, Arsenal do not play until the following day when they have to take on Spurs at White Hart Lane. And, should Spurs prevent the Gunners from winning, we will stay top for at least a week!

Ideally (to some people...), the game will finish in a draw, thus preventing Arsenal from going top and Spurs fans from becoming more big-headed than they already are (remind us why Spurs fans? When did you last win a meaningful trophy!).

But, for a day at least, I am going to support Spurs- willing them to victory! For London rivalries, and all the crap that comes with them, are irrelevant for a day. I honestly think that this could be a defining weekend in the title race. The chance to go top is far more important than some silly rivalry.

My hatred for Man United was non-existent when they were taking on the Gunners this Saturday. And I am not ashamed to say that I was jumping for joy when first Veron and then Scholes scored for the Red Devils.

Managers often say "We'll concentrate on how we play and that's that."

Up until Claudio Ranieri, I never thought any of them actually meant it. He genuinely only cares about what Chelsea are doing. And full credit to him. It obviously takes a better person than me to be able to do that, as I sit there on Sunday afternoon cheering on Spurs...
