West Ham among sides keen on Chelsea striker Tammy Abraham

Chelsea striker Tammy Abraham has attracted plenty of interest from across Europe, with West Ham United one of several teams interested in the 23-year-old.

Abraham has struggled for minutes under new manager Thomas Tuchel, who left the striker out of the matchday squad for Sunday's 0-0 draw with Manchester United, and interest in Borussia Dortmund's Erling Haaland has left Abraham hesitant to extend his contract at Stamford Bridge.

He remains tied to the club until 2023, so this summer represents Chelsea's best time to sell him for a high fee before he approaches the final 12 months of his deal.

There have been speculative links to the likes of Dortmund, Juventus and Leicester City, but the most concrete statement concerns West Ham, whom the Telegraph claim would 'certainly' be interested in the 23-year-old.

That interest was later backed up by the Daily Star, who state that Abraham is towards the top of a shortlist which also features Arsenal's Eddie Nketiah and Brentford's Ivan Toney.

Hammers boss David Moyes wants another striker to replace Sebastien Haller, who was sold to Ajax in the January transfer window. Utility man Michail Antonio is their only senior option in attack, so Moyes has made finding competition one of his top priorities.

Abraham has always made it clear that he wants to stay at Chelsea, but his dream is to be the starting striker for both club and country for the rest of his career. He's nowhere near that status at the minute, and a £100m+ pursuit of Haaland suggests he may never get the chance at Stamford Bridge.

Whether Chelsea would actually authorise a sale is a different matter entirely. Olivier Giroud is now 34 years of age and obviously not a long-term option, while Timo Werner's goalscoring struggles may only increase Abraham's worth to the Blues.

He is Chelsea's top goalscorer in all competitions this season, which made the decision to drop him entirely for the United game a huge surprise.

Tuchel has started Abraham just three times in the Premier League thus far, taking him off at half-time twice and watching him limp off early with an ankle injury in the third.
