Twitter reacts as Champions League groups are drawn

We now know what the Champions League group stage is going to look like, and it's safe to say there is a lot for us to look forward to.

There are plenty of intriguing groups to look forward to, as well as one or two which you could easily describe as groups of death. None of the English teams will be looking forward to their campaigns, while Barcelona will be having flashbacks as they prepare themselves for another meeting with Bayern Munich.

Here's how Twitter reacted to the draw.

Chelsea

Drawn in Group H, Chelsea didn't do too bad in this draw. Juventus are the biggest fish to fry, but the reigning champions must also navigate tricky meetings with Zenit St Petersburg and Malmo if they are to progress to the next round.

Liverpool

Liverpool fans had mixed feelings about the whole draw. On one hand, you could see them beating all three of Atletico Madrid, Porto and AC Milan, but you could also see them losing to each and every one of them.

Manchester City

It's a big yikes for Man City. Drawn up against Paris Saint-Germain, RB Leipzig and Club Brugge, they'll have to be at their best to avoid any unwanted slip-ups.

Manchester United

On the surface, United look to have got off pretty lightly, but it's another of those that will actually be far tougher than it looks. There's a Europa League final rematch against Villarreal and a meeting with Serie A highflyers Atalanta, while Swiss side Young Boys make up the numbers.

Barcelona

Benfica and Dynamo Kyiv are also in this group, but for Barcelona fans, all that matters is the chance to avenge the mauling handed out by Bayern Munich in 2020.

Real Madrid

Just like last year, Real Madrid will have to get through Inter and Shakhtar Donetsk in the group stage, but this time around, they'll be joined by Moldovan underdogs Sheriff Tiraspol.
