The Bayern Munich forward won the Golden Boot for the leading scorer at South Africa 2010 and hit the target twice in the 4-1 humiliation of England in the last 16.

But Muller rejected the transfer offers that followed because he was not ready to leave his homeland.

The 22-year-old Bayern youth product has also been linked with Manchester United but insists he has no reason to leave the German giants.

'I wasn't just offered a little after the World Cup - I refused several offers, including one from Chelsea,' said Muller. 'It's an honourable club, and it's not something that's offered every day, but I didn't think it was reasonable to make that step at such a young age.

Home sweet home: Muller (centre) says he is loving life at Bayern Munich

'A change would have been ridiculous after only one year playing as a pro, and at my age you have to play.

'Now I see no reason why I should move, I love Bayern.'?
