Yep, the Egyptian wide man really was still a Chelsea player. We bought him in Janjars 2014, from Basle.
But for whatever reason, and it was not his lack of ability, he never settled in London and was soon farmed out, on loan to Italy with Fiorentina then to Roma.
And that's where is staying. Chelsea have sold him for £12million, he cost £11million.
Not one of Chelsea's better signings, but one day the full reason for his signing and sale will emerge, I'm sure.
